Farrah Fletcher has been with RUHS since 2012, starting as a certified nursing assistant right after high school. She is looking forward to joining the hospital’s intensive care unit as a registered nurse thanks to RUHS’s education assistance program, which allowed her to receive full-time pay while working reduced hours and completing clinical hours and nursing school.
“RUHS supported my career from the very beginning,” Fletcher said. “I’ve learned so much, not just from nursing school, but from the on-the-job experience I’ve received working at a Level I Trauma Center.”
Chris Flojo, a registered nurse in the hospital’s acute care unit, is a travel nurse. While the average travel nurse contract lasts 13 weeks, Flojo has enjoyed his experience at RUHS so much that he has remained at RUHS – Medical Center since last fall.
“I keep resigning my contract,” Flojo said. “The staff is super helpful, the teamwork is great, and management is really supportive. I plan on staying here long as they’ll have me.”
RUHS is actively recruiting experienced nurses for RUHS – Medical Center, a Level I Trauma Center in Moreno Valley that is a flagship for professional training and education. Moreover, RUHS is seeking nurses for 14 community health centers conveniently located throughout the county from Corona to Blythe.
