This 1.5-hour presentation focuses on understanding mental health, understanding mental health vs. mental illness, discovering the mental health spectrum, explores stigma reduction and risk and protective factors. Available community resources are discussed.

This 2-hour presentation focuses on understanding and defining trauma and the different trauma types. It will look at the impact of trauma on the brain and understanding Child Traumatic Stress (CTS) as well as the impacts of Adverse Child-hood Experiences (ACEs). It will also look at the impact of trauma on our communities and understanding Adverse Community Experiences and Resilience (ACE|R). It will conclude with how we can promote individual and community resiliency, how to be more trauma-informed in our interactions, and the available community resources.

This 2-hour presentation focuses on understanding how stress affects us (psychological, spiritual, interpersonal and physical impacts) and review of different strategies to help manage stress and build resiliency. In this interactive presentation, there will be opportunities to practicing the different strategies. It concludes with a review of available resources and how to connect.

This 2-hour presentation focuses on understanding how to recognize the warning signs of suicide, how to find the words to have a direct conversation with someone in crisis and where to find professional help and resources.

ASIST is a two-day, interactive workshop that prepares participants to provide suicide first aid interventions. Small group discussions and skills practice are based on adult learning principles. ASIST teaches the Suicide Intervention Model, a practical guide to doing suicide interventions. Powerful videos support learning. This training is for anyone who wants to help further support others who may be having thoughts of suicide. Minimum age to attend is 16 years old.
This training is available in-person only. Available in English.
safeTALK is a three-hour training that prepares participants to identify persons with thoughts of suicide and connect them to suicide first aid resources. Most people with thoughts of suicide invite help to stay safe. Alert helpers know how to identify and work with these opportunities to help protect life. Powerful videos illustrate both non-alert and alert responses. Discussion and practice stimulate learning. This training is for anyone who might want to help others. Minimum age to attend is 15 years old.
This training is available in-person only. Available in English.
Youth MHFA is an 8-hour training that introduces participants to unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents, builds understanding of the importance of early intervention, and teaches individuals how to help an adolescent in crisis or experiencing a mental health challenge. This training is for anyone (18 years or older) who has regular contact with young people ages 12-18. Teachers, coaches, social workers, faith leaders, support staff, and community partners.
This training is available in-person only. Available in English and Spanish (upon request).
Adult MHFA is an 8-hour training that introduces participants to risk factors and warning signs of mental illness, builds understanding of their impact, and overviews common supports. This course uses role-playing and simulations to demonstrate how to offer initial help in a mental health crisis. This training is for anyone (18 years or older) who wants to learn how to help an individual who may be experiencing a mental health crisis.
