Centennial Video Contest Timeline

1. Public Health Heroes

Entering a video in this category gives you an opportunity to share information about the people who help keep our communities healthy and safe. A public health hero can be anyone—a nurse, doctor, health educator, community volunteer, teacher, counselor, family member, or even a friend who inspires healthy choices. It can also be someone well‑known in public health who has made a big impact.

The video should communicate a message about who your hero is, what they do, how their efforts improve the lives of people, and why their actions matter to you or the community.

Think about it this way: after someone watches your video, what do you want them to appreciate about the everyday heroes who keep our communities safe and healthy?

2. 100 Years of Public Health: Then & Now

Entering a video in this category gives you an opportunity to share information about how public health has changed over the last 100 years. You can show what public health looked like in the past and how it looks today. You might highlight major milestones, breakthroughs, challenges, or changes in how we protect community health.

The video should communicate a message about how public health has improved over time—from early disease prevention efforts to modern innovations—and why these changes matter for people today.

Think about it this way: after someone watches your video, what do you want them to learn about how public health has grown and adapted in Riverside County?

3. Building a Healthier Future

Entering a video in this category gives you an opportunity to share information about your ideas for how public health can get even better in the future. You can talk about new technology, better access to care, cleaner environments, mental health support, or anything that could help people live healthier lives.

The video should communicate a message about what you hope public health will look like in future years and how these changes could help the community. Think about what needs to grow, what needs to change, and how future generations can benefit.

Think about it this way: after someone watches your video, what do you want them to imagine about the future of health and wellness in Riverside County?
