Get Started
Learn about the different steps involved in submitting an entry to the contest. If you have any questions, contact SOARPH@ruhealth.org
Step 1: Select adult advisor
All youth participants need an adult advisor. An advisor can be anyone from your school, program, club, or organization—a teacher, professor, parent, or other adult. Visit the Advisor Resources page to learn about the role of the adult advisor.
Step 2: Sign release forms
Youth (and their parents/legal guardians if under 18) need to sign a release form. By signing the form, you share ownership of any submitted entries with us. This means you can still use your entry in any way you would like, but you also give us the right to your entry, for example to show it on our website and social media channels.
Step 3: Select submission category
Each submission category comes with specific content guidelines. There is no limit on the number of entries youth can submit. As you work on your video project, make sure all cast and crew sign release forms. You won’t be able to submit your entry form until they do!
Step 4: Submit release and entry forms
The contest submission deadline is June 30. Identify one person on your team to submit the entry form with your shareable video link attached. To submit an entry, you will need four things: 1) Your advisor's name, 2) Everyone who worked on the video (cast and crew), 3) all release forms, and 4) shareable video URL.
Step 5: Wait - Judging in progress
All county winners will be recognized at the Riverside County Public Health All-Staff Training.
