Course Description

The trauma conference is designed to provide continuing education of trauma care for the target audience including all EMS, Fire, Police, Hospital staff, RNs, and Physicians. 

Objectives

  • Identify methods of bleeding control in the field.
  • State the indications for Target Temperature Management in the Neuro ICU.
  • Identify key points of trauma as a disease process.
  • Identify pitfalls in pediatric trauma resuscitation.
  • Identify methods to reduce morbidity and mortality in geriatric trauma.
  • State key factors identified in delaying response to the Santa Barbara disaster response.
  • Identify treatment modalities in various case studies.  

Course Credit

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #CEP511 for 7.0 contact hours per day.  This course has been approved by CA EMS CA Provider #33-0006 for 7.0 hours per day of CE (Instructor based), and includes a certificate of completion.
