As educators in Emergency Medicine, we believe an array of educational methods must be incorporated into our program’s curriculum as it is vital to the success of our residents. Our program prides itself in being able to adapt to the ever-changing world of medicine.

Life-long learning and the pursuit of quality grows from a commitment to and membership in the Emergency Medicine and medical communities at large. As such, involvement in research, quality and scholarly activities is a fundamental component of the Emergency Medicine residency.

An institution committed to research and scholarly activity, RUHS founded the Comparative Effectiveness and Clinical Outcomes Research Center (CECORC) in 2018 with the purpose of furthering clinically relevant evidence-based best practices and healthcare advances.

We hold an annual research symposium every May, giving residents the ability to participate locally and view the work being done by their colleagues.

All residents will receive training in ethics, research fundamentals and design. Residents may select their own area interest and design appropriate studies, collaborate with fellow residents in interdisciplinary projects or participate in one of the numerous on-going faculty or facility projects.
