Orthopaedic Surgery Physician Assistant Fellowship Program
RUHS is committed to the success of the Orthopaedic Surgery Physician Assistant Fellowship Program. The program is an intensive clinical and didactic training experience. The goal of the program is to train PA Fellows broadly in the different areas of orthopaedic to be knowledgeable and skilled to be able to work either in a hospital, clinic or as a first assistant for orthopaedic surgeries. The program is a full-time, twelve-month program requiring no more than 80 hours per week averaged over a 4-week period of clinical, operative, and emergency room based work and didactic program of regularly scheduled lectures, quizzes, and exams. All learning takes place in a multi-disciplinary team learning environment. The Orthopaedic Surgery Physician Assistant Fellowship Program operates in conjunction with the ACGME-accredited Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program at RUHS. This promotes team-based clinic care in the practice of orthopaedic surgery and ensures the best possible didactic, clinical, and procedural experiences for both PA Fellows and residents. The ARC-PA has granted Accreditation-Clinical Postgraduate Program status to the Orthopaedic Surgery Physician Assistant Fellowship Program sponsored by Riverside University Health System.

Accreditation-clinical postgraduate program remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation process or until the accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the Standards, ARC-PA requirements or procedures.
