Public Health Laboratory Services
Public health laboratory services are essential to the core functions of public health. Public health laboratories serve as reference laboratories for private, commercial laboratories in their respective service areas.
The mission of the Riverside University Health System – Public Health Laboratory is to provide accurate, timely, and cost-effective laboratory testing to aid in the diagnosis and control of communicable diseases.

- Reportable Conditions by Labs

California Code of Regulations, Title 17, Section 2505 requires laboratories to report laboratory testing results, including molecular and pathologic results, suggestive of diseases of public health importance to the local health department. Laboratories must report any initial findings as well as any subsequent findings.
