Access Clinic | About Us
The Access Clinic is a primary care clinic that serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). It is located within the Family Care Clinic at Riverside University Health System – Medical Center in Moreno Valley. The clinic provides primary care to adults with cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism, Angelman syndrome, Fragile X, anoxic brain injury as a child and other disabling conditions.

- What makes the Access Clinic unique?

The access clinic provides multiple accommodations, including wheelchair scales and lifts, a ceiling track lift and 30-minute visit time slots. We have a supportive staff and a nurse case manager who work to make the process for patient visits as smooth as possible. We work with patients to ensure transportation access, can do health care visits from a patient’s car and allow for home lab draws.
- What kinds of services does the Access Clinic provide?

We offer a wide array of medical services, including primary care, testing, health education and even transportation. We help patients navigate the system and fill out forms.
- What are the clinic criteria to be a patient at the Access Clinic?

In order to be a patient at the Access Clinic, a person must be 17 years of age or older; have an Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) that began prior to age 18 that they will continue to have indefinitely; must be a Department of Developmental Services Regional Center Client, receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI); and must have significant limitations in three or more of the following areas: Self care, mobility, self-direction, language learning or economic self-sufficiency.
- What kinds of insurances does the Access Clinic accept?

The access clinic accepts Medi-Cal, Medicare and IEHP insurances.
- What are the hours of the clinic?

The access clinic is open 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
